Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tandoori Chef/Kitchen Helper to join our vibrant culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for authentic Indian cuisine, especially tandoori dishes, and possess experience in food preparation, kitchen management, and team supervision. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic restaurant environment focused on delivering exceptional dining experiences. Candidates with banquet, fine dining, or catering experience are highly preferred. The position involves hands-on cooking, kitchen operations, and supporting overall food service management to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities Prepare and cook authentic tandoori dishes with precision and consistency Assist in food preparation tasks including marinating, chopping, and assembling ingredients Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies Assist in menu planning and development to enhance culinary offerings Supervise kitchen staff when necessary, providing leadership and guidance Ensure efficient kitchen operations during shifts, including managing food production schedules Oversee food handling procedures and ensure proper storage of ingredients Support catering events and special functions with timely food preparation and service Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area, equipment, and workstations at all times Requirements Proven experience in Indian cuisine, particularly tandoori cooking; banquet or fine dining experience is a plus Background in dietary departments or food production is advantageous Strong knowledge of food safety standards and proper handling procedures Excellent culinary skills with a focus on authentic Indian flavors Ability to manage inventory control and assist with menu planning Leadership qualities with the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Experience in restaurant management, catering, or hospitality industry is desirable Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team Prior kitchen experience in food service management or culinary roles is essential Join our team to bring your culinary expertise to life while contributing to an engaging dining atmosphere.
