About The Birdie BarThe Birdie Bar is an upscale, experience-driven venue that combines the sophistication of a contemporary bar and casual restaurant with the excitement of state-of-the-art indoor golf simulators in Louisville, Colorado. Our guests come to relax, dine, socialize, and tee off in style. We pride ourselves on delivering top-tier service, a curated food and beverage program, and a fun, welcoming atmosphere for golf lovers and casual guests alike.

Position OverviewAs a Cook, you ll be responsible for preparing and plating dishes with precision, speed, and attention to presentation and quality. You ll work in a clean, organized kitchen environment and collaborate with both front- and back-of-house teams to ensure smooth service whether it s a busy Friday night, a private event, or a relaxed weekday lunch.

Key Responsibilities1. Provide Elevated Guest Service Deliver warm, attentive, and timely service in a polished yet relaxed environment. Engage with guests, offering recommendations and enhancing their overall golf, dining, and social experience. Engage directly with guests when they are in your immediate vicinity (greet all guests passing by the bar).2. Prepare High-Quality, Elevated Dishes Execute menu items with precision, consistency, and attention to plating. Prepare small plates, shareables, flatbreads, salads, and seasonal specials with a focus on fresh ingredients and presentation.3. Maintain Speed and Accuracy During Service Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen, especially during peak hours, events, and tournament nights. Follow proper portioning, cooking, and timing standards to ensure consistent quality.4. Collaborate with Kitchen and Front-of-House Teams Communicate clearly with managers, servers, bar staff, and hosts to ensure smooth and timely food delivery. Adjust pacing based on bar, lounge, dining room flow and golf bay timing.

If needed, run food, bus tables, and wash dishes.5. Ensure Cleanliness, Safety, and Sanitation Maintain a clean and organized workstation at all times. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper storage, labeling, and temperature checks.6. Support Prep and Kitchen Readiness Assist with daily prep, including slicing, marinating, and assembling mise en place for wine-paired offerings. Restock stations and help set up for service before opening and clean down at close.7. Contribute to Menu Consistency and Creativity Follow house recipes and prep lists accurately. Provide input on specials and new menu items that align with the venue s elevated, social dining concept.8. Assist with Private Events and Group Dining Support special menus, buffet setups, and passed appetizers for private parties and events. Work with the chef and management to execute group orders efficiently and professionally.9. Handle Equipment and Ingredients Responsibly Operate kitchen equipment ovens, cold storage, and prep tools safely and correctly. No grills or fryers! Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or equipment issues promptly.10. Other duties as assignedQualifications Two (2) years of high-volume back-of-the-house employment experience in a full-service restaurant or bar environment; experience with entertainment or experiential venues preferred. Exceptional customer service skills with a guest-first mentality. Strong leadership and team development abilities and a desire to progress. Working knowledge of kitchen operations, food service standards, and sanitation standards. Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required. ServSafe certifications (or ability to obtain). Must be eligible to work in the United States. Must be able to pass a background check. Previous customer service experience.

Ability to keep up with the trends and innovations in the industry. Ability to stay calm under pressure, especially within view and ear shot of guests. Keeps The Birdie Bar General Manager promptly and fully informed of all kitchen or service-related issues. where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action Demonstrated ability to maintain sanitary and organized workspace. A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences while maintaining operational excellence.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing up to 45 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion. Work with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment as well as operate phones, computers, printers, fax machines, audio/visual, security, copiers, and other office equipment.
