Eight Mile Meadow is a bread and pasta shop specializing in artisan products made with locally-sourced, organic ingredients. We are looking to expand our team with a pastry assistant. Your duties will include prepping, mixing and baking scones and cookies; helping to expand our existing pastry offerings; boiling bagels and monitoring the ovens. We are looking for a friendly person who likes being part of a small team, is passionate about food and knows their way around a commercial kitchen. Minimum of one year in a professional kitchen required, ServSafe certification a plus. Must be able to lift 50 lbs, stand for long periods of time, and work in a hot environment. 4 days per week, including Saturday mornings. Pay starts at $18/hour, depending on experience.
