In this role, you will support the kitchen staff by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safety standards are upheld. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation tasks including slicing, chopping, and assembling ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Support meal preparation and food production activities to ensure timely service Operate basic food handling equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with safety standards in production Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to uphold food safety and hygiene standards Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and ingredients with proper technique to prevent injury Support catering events or special functions by serving food and assisting with setup as needed Follow all food safety management protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation procedures Requirements Previous experience in a food service environment or restaurant setting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate Basic math skills for portioning ingredients and measuring measurements accurately Demonstrated knowledge of safety standards in food production and handling procedures Strong manual handling skills, including heavy lifting and proper use of kitchen tools and equipment Familiarity with culinary practices such as food preparation, cooking, sensory evaluation, and serving techniques Excellent customer service attitude with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Basic knife skills and familiarity with slicing techniques are highly desirable Ability to follow instructions precisely while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety Embark on a rewarding journey in the food industry by becoming an essential part of our kitchen team.
