Required Years of Experience 2 years Job Details The Sulgrave Club, a ninety-four year-old, Private Club on Dupont Circle is searching for a dynamic line cook to join our culinary team. The Club functions as a high-end, boutique hotel with fine dining. We are open for service for our members and their guests seven days a week. The position is open to a skilled culinarian with a passion for fine dining and a desire to grow within a high standards kitchen. Some of the requirements that will be necessary for our Line Cook to succeed are:
- Prepare menu items to the Club's standards of taste, quality, and presentation.
- Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies; prepare food for service (e.g., cutting vegetables, portioning meat, prepping sauces).
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff during a la carte and banquet service.
- Follow recipes, plating guides, and portioning standards consistently.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary station, adhering to all food safety guidelines.
- Assist with inventory, restocking, and minimizing food waste.
- Experience with banquets and a la carte service a plus.
- Operating within all mandatory guidelines, policies, and standards of operations as they relate to Food & Beverage.
- Candidate is required to be able to occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 pounds and be able to work standing.
The Sulgrave Club is a private city club in Washington DC located on Dupont Circle.
