Possesses skills to carry out a large scale food service program. Assists in promoting the school lunch program, the nutritional well being of each student, and the orderly and effective operation of the kitchen. Accepts responsibility for tasks designated by the manager. Participates in the preparation, cooking, and baking of a variety of foods. Stores left over foods properly. Performs necessary clean up work. Represents the school and the school district in an ethical and professional manner at all times. Maintains regular, on-time attendance. Adheres to all policies and procedures of the Indian River School District as established by the Board of Education and the Superintendent. Performs other assigned duties.

Qualifications:
Is a high school graduate or equivalent . Demonstrates the tact to deal amicably and effectively with people. Is physically able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and 50 feet. Clean Criminal Background Check, TB test and child protection registry clearance must be completed prior to start of employment.
