Job Overview Join our vibrant team as a Cafe Team Member, where you'll be at the heart of creating delightful experiences for our customers! In this dynamic role, you'll engage with guests, prepare delicious food, and ensure that every cup of coffee and meal served is nothing short of exceptional. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a warm and welcoming atmosphere in our café. What you'll do Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages with precision and care. Operate Toast Point of Sale (POS) systems, to process transactions efficiently. Provide outstanding customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and offering recommendations to enhance their experience. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas to ensure a safe environment for both staff and customers. Handle cash transactions accurately while adhering to cash handling procedures. Assist with food preparation tasks, ensuring all items meet our quality standards. Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities while providing a friendly dining experience. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Requirements Previous experience in food service or the restaurant industry is preferred. Strong culinary skills with knowledge of food handling and safety regulations. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with cashiering processes and basic math skills for accurate transaction handling. Ability to work well in a team-oriented setting while also being self-motivated. Experience with quick service or fast food restaurant operations is a plus. Knowledge of retail math concepts is beneficial for managing sales effectively. A passion for customer service and creating memorable experiences for guests.
