Job Description
Working in an open kitchen, a cook-to-order concept, preparing hot and cold menu items from fresh and frozen states. The duties include opening, setting up, and closing procedures for pizza-making equipment, fryers, and flat-top grill stations. Must maintain standards that ensure food safety and presentation, quality, and cleanliness in a fast-paced, challenging environment. Also, may be required to operate our POS register system, take customer orders, and deliver food around the campus community. All team members are required to assist in maintaining dining room cleanliness, restocking the convenience store shelving, and maintaining the drink display coolers. May be asked to work at another Campus Dining location as needed The position is typically in our Rathskeller Pizza and Grill quick service, grocery, snack bar, and pizza delivery operation and is accountable for following standardized recipes. Operating the cash register according to specified procedures, taking customer orders, delivering customer orders, and maintaining the kitchen area to meet sanitation, health, and safety standards. Properly rotate perishable ingredients and use code-date labeling to ensure the highest-quality menu items are served. Performs routine cleaning and organization of workstations, equipment, all food production, and food storage areas of the operation. High School Diploma or GED preferred. Valid US Driver's License and clean driving record required. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time in a fast-paced work environment.
