Job Description
Gulfshore Playhouse, a mission-driven, professional theatre company located in Naples, Florida, is seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented and organized individual to serve as an Events/Food & Beverage Team Member. Gulfshore Playhouse offers a diverse season of straight plays and musicals ranging from venerated classics and Broadway hits to contemporary works and world premieres. Gulfshore Playhouse is passionately committed to producing high-quality, professional theatre which exceeds the expectations of the cultured residents and visitors of Naples, FL, many of whom are regular theatre patrons in New York, Chicago, Boston, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. Gulfshore Playhouse recently opened the Gulfshore Playhouse Baker Theatre and Education Center, a state-of-the art facility, featuring a 365-seat mainstage with a Broadway-sized stage, a 125-seat flexible space, rehearsal studios, classrooms, and rental space. In 2022, Gulfshore Playhouse became nationally recognized as the 77th member of the League of Resident Theatres (LORT). This is an extraordinarily exciting time for Gulfshore Playhouse, which is experiencing unprecedented growth in a collaborative and creative community.

ASAP Representative Duties:
Reporting to the Director of Events/Food Beverage, the Events /Food & Beverage Team Members play a key role in delivering a polished, welcoming, and efficient guest experience at Gulfshore Playhouse. This role is primarily focused on food and beverage service during performances, daytime lobby bar operations, and special events. Team Members provide outstanding hospitality, maintain high standards of cleanliness and safety, and support event setup and service to ensure every guest interaction reflects the Playhouse's commitment to excellence.- Provide exceptional guest service by greeting patrons, taking orders, answering questions, and offering menu and beverage recommendations.
- Support daily food and beverage operations, including daytime shifts at the Wyss Lobby Bar serving beverages, light bites, and snacks.
- Prepare and serve beverages responsibly and in accordance with all alcohol service requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards related to food handling and beverage service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar and concession areas, including washing glassware and utensils, restocking supplies, and disposing of waste.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently; operate point-of-sale systems as required.
- Complete opening and closing duties as assigned, including setup, restocking, side work, and end-of-shift cleaning.
- Maintain responsible food and beverage cost practices by monitoring inventory, minimizing waste, and reporting discrepancies to management.
- Assist with the preparation and execution of special events (fundraisers, galas, private functions, and receptions) as needed.
- Set up and break down event spaces according to established layouts and instructions, including (but not limited to) tables, chairs, linens, glassware, plateware, and flatware.
- Collaborate with all Gulfshore Playhouse departments to ensure seamless service and a world-class guest experience.
- Respond professionally to guest needs and concerns, demonstrating strong problem- solving skills and a proactive approach to guest satisfaction.

- Ability to remain calm, professional, and guest-focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on performance and event needs.
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs and stand for 6-8 hours at a time.
- Enthusiastic and positive demeanor, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast- paced environment to contribute to a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
