Part-Time, Non-Exempt Hourly Position Expected Hours:
Approximately 25-30 hours per week to start, with potential opportunities for full-time employment based on business needs, performance, and availability. Job Summary The Kitchen Prep & Utility Assistant supports the culinary team by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness throughout the kitchen, organizing inventory, and following food safety and sanitation standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Food Preparation Wash, peel, chop, slice, and measure ingredients for the culinary team. Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed. Cleanliness Wash dishes, pots, pans, and utensils. Clean and sanitize food preparation surfaces. Sweep and mop floors as needed. Waste Management Empty trash and recycling containers. Break down cardboard boxes. Maintain clean and organized disposal areas. Stocking and Inventory Unload food deliveries. Organize and stock food supplies in refrigerators, freezers, and storage areas. Rotate inventory as directed. Food Safety Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health regulations. Use proper food handling procedures to help prevent contamination. Qualifications Basic knife skills and food preparation knowledge preferred. Understanding of sanitation and food safety practices. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively. Strong teamwork and communication skills. Reliable and dependable attendance. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to regularly bend, reach, stoop, and carry supplies. Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
