Job Description
Tender Care Medical Services (TCMS) is seeking a Part-Time Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This position plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for medically complex children while ensuring all meals are prepared and served according to physician-ordered dietary requirements. Part-Time (2-days a week) Fridays & Saturdays from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Essential Duties & Responsibilities Kitchen Responsibilities Prepare and serve meals and snacks according to approved menus as prescribed by a doctor. Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Accurately follow allergy lists, dietary restrictions, and dysphagia (texture modification) charts. Record all meals and snacks served. Monitor food inventory and notify management of supply needs. Stock and organize kitchen supplies. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen equipment, food preparation areas, and storage areas. Complete daily laundry. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred. CPR Certification prior to start Willingness to obtain Level 2 Background Screening Clearance prior to start: https://info.flclearinghouse.com Food Safety Manager Certification or willing to obtain Previous experience in food service, dietary services, childcare, healthcare, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records. Strong organizational and time management skills. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift. Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, push, pull, and lift. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds from floor to waist level. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
