Responsibilities Assist with food preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients using proper knife skills and slicing techniques. Support cooking activities by following recipes accurately and adhering to food safety standards during meal production. Operate basic kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, and dishwashers. Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by cleaning utensils, surfaces, and equipment regularly to meet health regulations. Help with food handling procedures to ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients. Support dietary department needs by assisting with meal plating and portioning according to menu specifications. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure timely meal service. Requirements Previous experience in food service, dietary aide roles, or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory; eagerness to learn is valued. Knowledge of food safety management practices and safety standards in production environments. Familiarity with menu planning, recipe adherence, and meal preparation processes. Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and follow proper food handling procedures. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members. Basic culinary experience including knife skills and slicing techniques is advantageous. Experience in catering or dietary departments adds value but is not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.
