Company Overview Y.O.U.R., Inc. Head Start is dedicated to fostering the healthy development of children from birth to age five through comprehensive early childhood programs. Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Classroom/Kitchen Assistant to join our team. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to support young children's growth and learning while assisting with classroom activities and meal preparations. The ideal candidate will bring enthusiasm for early childhood education, excellent child supervision skills, and a commitment to creating a safe, nurturing environment. Duties This position is primarily responsible for prepping and preparing meals for the classroom. Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate educational activities that promote childhood development and learning. Support classroom management by supervising children during activities, playtime, meals, and transitions. Help prepare and serve nutritious meals and snacks in accordance with health and safety standards. Maintain a clean, organized classroom and kitchen area, including sanitizing toys, surfaces, and utensils regularly. Foster positive relationships with children by providing attentive care, encouragement, and guidance. Communicate effectively with parents regarding daily activities, behaviors, and developmental progress. Follow all mandated reporting laws and health protocols to ensure safety and compliance at all times. Skills Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings. Knowledge of child development principles and behavior management techniques. Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, and safety procedures. Familiarity with special education needs and working with children with disabilities. Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and a nurturing attitude. Ability to communicate clearly with parents, staff, and children's caregivers. Experience in childcare roles such as babysitting or nannying is a plus. Join us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners! Pay:
$15.10 - $17.07 per hour Expected hours: 35.0 per week
