We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Kitchen Assistant to join our kitchen team. Reporting to the Chef/Kitchen Manager, the Kitchen Assistant helps maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen while supporting daily food preparation and kitchen operations. The ideal candidate is happy to serve others, works well as part of a team, and is willing to assist wherever needed to keep the kitchen running smoothly.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Wash dishes, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly and return them to service. Dishwashing is a continuous responsibility throughout the day. Assist with basic food preparation, including washing, cutting, and preparing vegetables, fruits, and other produce. Receive, organize, and stock food and supply deliveries. Obtain necessary food and supplies from storage areas for daily food preparation and kitchen operations. Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, sinks, and equipment. Daily sweep and mop floors and maintain a clean and orderly kitchen environment. Clean bathrooms, supply closets, and other designated areas. Remove trash and recycling as needed. Follow established food safety and sanitation procedures. Assist the Chef/Kitchen Manager and other team members with additional duties as needed to maintain a productive and efficient kitchen.
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to work with team members. Previous experience in a kitchen, food service, or similar position preferred. Ability to follow instructions and complete tasks efficiently. Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area. Food handler certificate preferred. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires the ability to perform physical tasks throughout the workday, including: Standing and walking for extended periods. Frequently bending and reaching, including bending into sinks while washing dishes. Frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing approximately 25 pounds. Regular use of kitchen tools and equipment, including knives, shredders, slicers, and other food-preparation tools. Working in a busy kitchen environment and performing repetitive tasks as needed
Pay:
$17.00 - $20.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
