Restaurant Expeditor Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Restaurant Expeditor Service Assistant, where your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests. In this vital role, you'll act as the communication hub between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, ensuring food is prepared, plated, and delivered with precision and speed. Your enthusiasm for hospitality and commitment to food safety will help create a welcoming environment that keeps guests coming back. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food service, customer interaction, and restaurant operations. Duties Coordinate between kitchen staff and servers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of food orders Verify that dishes meet quality standards before serving, maintaining presentation and temperature Assist with food running duties, delivering orders promptly to tables while providing friendly guest service Support cleaning and bussing efforts by clearing tables, resetting dining areas, and maintaining cleanliness in service zones Handle manual lifting of food trays, dishes, and supplies following safe lifting practices to prevent injury Operate POS systems such as Shift4 POS or Micros POS for order processing when needed Communicate effectively with team members to relay special requests or dietary needs from guests Restaurant Expeditor Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hospitality environments preferred but not required Knowledge of food handling safety standards and proper sanitation procedures Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service periods Strong communication skills with a focus on in-person customer service excellence Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Basic understanding of food preparation, kitchen operations, and culinary terminology Enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude and a passion for guest services Join us in creating memorable dining experiences by ensuring every plate reaches our guests with care and professionalism.
