Kitchen Worker Job Summary:
Full-time kitchen worker who will assist and work as part of a "Kitchen Team" and administrative staff to ensure that all students are receiving meals according to CACFP guidelines. MTCC offers morning snack, breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack each day to all students ranging in age from 6 weeks to 5 years.
Responsibilities:
  • Assist in food preparation
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • Follow proper food handling procedures and adhere to food safety regulations
  • Follow all children's allergy guidelines
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Serve Safe Certification (Required)
  • 1+ years of experience (Preferred)
  • Strong communication skills to work effectively with the kitchen team
  • Ability to cook basic dishes and follow recipes accurately
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and culinary techniques
  • Previous experience in food service, banquets, or catering is advantageous
  • Customer service-oriented attitude with a focus on quality
  • Proficiency in food handling procedures
  • Must be able to pass a background check, physical, and drug test
