Responsibilities Assist in preparing ingredients and assembling dishes according to established recipes and menu standards Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools Follow strict food safety protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and equipment Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by cleaning surfaces, utensils, appliances, and workstations regularly Support meal preparation for various service needs including catering events or daily service lines Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure timely delivery of meals Adhere to safety standards during food production to prevent accidents or contamination Skills Experience working in and understanding food allergies is highly desirable Strong knowledge of food handling procedures and safety standards in production environments Proven ability in food preparation, cooking techniques, and operating commercial kitchen equipment Skilled in knife handling with precise slicing techniques and recipe adherence Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork within the kitchen environment Familiarity with menu planning, meal prep processes, and catering operations Knowledge of the food industry standards related to food safety management and sanitation practices Must be able to work weekends This role is perfect for individuals passionate about culinary arts who thrive in energetic environments.
