We are looking for a reliable, organized, and hardworking Kitchen Staff Member to join our team! The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced childcare environment and have the ability to efficiently prepare and serve meals for up to 150 children while following all required food safety and CACFP guidelines. Position Responsibilities Prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and snacks according to the CACFP (Child and Adult Care Food Program) menu and requirements Follow appropriate serving sizes and portion requirements for different age groups Ensure meals are prepared and served on time according to the center's daily schedule Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen at all times Follow proper food handling, storage, temperature, and sanitation procedures Prepare classroom meal/snack carts as needed Complete daily kitchen cleaning and sanitation tasks Wash dishes and operate an industrial dishwasher Monitor food, milk and kitchen supplies and communicate ordering needs to administration Maintain accurate food counts and other required kitchen documentation Work efficiently and stay organized while managing multiple tasks Follow all center policies, health and safety regulations, and licensing requirements Assist with maintaining a safe and positive environment for the children and staff What We're Looking For Previous kitchen experience strongly preferred Previous experience working in a childcare center, daycare, school, or institutional kitchen is strongly preferred CACFP experience is a plus ServSafe certification strongly preferred ; applicants without certification must be willing to obtain certification Ability to understand and follow menus, portion sizes, and food safety requirements Excellent time-management and organizational skills Ability to work independently and efficiently Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential Ability to prepare and serve meals for up to 150 children Comfortable working around infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-age children Requirements Must successfully pass a criminal background check Must successfully pass a drug screening Must be able to meet all applicable childcare center employment and licensing requirements Must be able to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform routine kitchen duties throughout the workday Must be willing to obtain ServSafe certification if not already certified Schedule Monday - Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM This is a daytime, full-time position with no evening shifts.
