This position is responsible for preparing food according to recipes and quality standards, maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, and working efficiently with the team to ensure guests receive exceptional meals in a timely manner. Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and presentation standards. Set up and stock workstations with necessary ingredients and supplies. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, equipment, and food preparation areas. Follow food safety and health department regulations at all times. Properly label, date, and store food products. Assist with receiving, stocking, and rotating inventory (FIFO). Communicate effectively with kitchen staff and front-of-house team. Operate kitchen equipment safely and report maintenance issues. Work efficiently during busy meal periods while maintaining quality. Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties. Perform other duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or General Manager. Qualifications Previous kitchen or restaurant experience preferred but not required. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Positive attitude and ability to work well as part of a team.
