Sushi Cook Job Types:

$17-$25/hour depending on experience Want to learn how to roll sushi, prepare fresh Japanese food, and work alongside an experienced kitchen team? We're looking for a Sushi Helper / Sushi Cook to join our growing restaurant. We serve sushi, ramen, hibachi, and other Japanese-inspired dishes with a focus on fresh ingredients, consistency, and great guest experiences. Sushi experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who has a good attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to develop their sushi skills and grow with our company. Responsibilities Assist with sushi preparation, including rice, vegetables, fish, sauces, and other ingredients Learn and prepare sushi rolls according to restaurant standards Prepare food according to recipes and chef specifications Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation Properly store, label, rotate, and handle food Assist the sushi chef and kitchen team during busy service Work efficiently while maintaining food quality and presentation Follow food safety and sanitation procedures Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties Perform other kitchen duties as requested by the chef What We're Looking For Restaurant or kitchen experience preferred Sushi experience is a plus, but training is available Reliable and punctual Positive attitude and strong work ethic Team-oriented and willing to help others Able to communicate effectively with chefs and coworkers Reliable transportation Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays Able to stand for extended periods Able to lift at least 30 lbs.
