This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the food industry while working alongside passionate kitchen professionals. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing, chopping, and assembling ingredients following established recipes and safety standards Operate basic kitchen equipment safely, including mixers, ovens, and cutting tools, adhering to proper handling procedures Support meal preparation and plating to ensure timely service during busy periods Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces in compliance with food safety management protocols Follow strict food handling guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure food safety at all times Support the dietary department by assisting with menu planning and meal assembly for various dietary needs Collaborate effectively with kitchen staff through clear communication to ensure smooth workflow and high-quality service Experience Previous experience in a food service environment or restaurant is preferred but not required; on-the-job training will be provided Familiarity with dietary aide responsibilities or dietary department experience is advantageous Knowledge of food safety standards in production, including proper food handling and sanitation practices Experience with culinary tasks such as knife skills, slicing techniques, and recipe adherence is beneficial Catering experience or work in the food industry demonstrates strong organizational skills and adaptability Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety standards in production Join us as a Kitchen Helper and become an essential part of a vibrant team dedicated to delivering excellent meals in a safe, clean, and efficient environment.
