•23 per hour, depending on experience Beyond Oishii is looking for a reliable and motivated Sushi Helper to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in sushi and Japanese cuisine who wants to learn and develop their skills in a professional kitchen. Sushi experience is preferred but not required. Training is available for the right candidate. We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn. Responsibilities Assist sushi chefs with daily preparation and service Prepare sushi rice, vegetables, sauces, garnishes, and other ingredients Learn to make basic sushi rolls and other menu items according to restaurant standards Assist with portioning and preparing fish and seafood under the direction of the sushi chef Set up and maintain the sushi station before and during service Properly label, date, rotate, and store ingredients Follow food safety and sanitation procedures, especially when handling raw seafood Maintain a clean and organized workstation Restock ingredients and supplies throughout the shift Assist with opening and closing duties Work as a team during busy service Perform other duties as requested by the chef What We're Looking For Restaurant or kitchen experience preferred, but not required Sushi experience is a plus Willingness to learn sushi preparation and techniques Dependable, punctual, and responsible Positive attitude and strong work ethic Able to follow recipes and instructions Good communication and teamwork skills Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays Able to stand for extended periods Able to lift at least 30 lbs.
