Job Summary Looking to hire kitchen help at a busy Indian restaurant in Crofton, MD. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with initiative. Duties include but are not limited to: Assist with food preparation, including slicing, chopping, and assembling ingredients following recipe guidelines and safety standards Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, mixers, blenders, and other culinary tools safely and efficiently Maintain cleanliness of kitchen stations by cleaning utensils, surfaces, and equipment regularly to meet hygiene standards Support meal preparation and plating to ensure timely service during busy hours Follow food handling procedures diligently to uphold food safety management protocols Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow Aid in menu planning by preparing ingredients as directed and assisting with catering setups when needed Qualifications Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary environments is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Knowledge of food safety standards in production and handling is highly desirable Ability to perform basic knife skills, slicing techniques, and food preparation tasks accurately Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen team members Experience operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently Passion for the food industry with a keen interest in developing culinary expertise
