Working at Exotic Pet Pals is a great fit for people who are looking to have time flexibility, spend time with animals, be active and happy, and have a rewarding day to day experience at work. At Exotic Pet Pals, we treat pets like they're our family! We are looking for part-time staff who: Have experience caring for animals. Training will also be provided. Are able and willing to travel all over Anne Arundel County (not South County) and Bowie. Have availability to work evenings, weekends, and most holidays. Will undergo a background check, and training. Will treat our furry, feathered, and scaly clients like they are your own!

No need to dress up With us, you are an employee, not an independent contractor. You are protected by our liability insurance, bonding, and workers' compensation insurance. What do we do? We are in the peace of mind business. We provide peace of mind to pet parents who are busy working or traveling. We visit client's homes and care for their pets and homes. This could include taking dogs for walks, letting dogs out in a yard to play fetch, cleaning up after pets, feeding and supplying fresh water, scooping litter boxes, administering medications if needed, and of course loving them and providing lots of TLC and belly rubs! For traveling clients, watering plants and collecting mail may be necessary. We ask you that you drive to these appointments, check in and check out of appointments using our mobile app, and write nice informative updates with pictures to let clients know how their pets are doing.
Job Requirements:
Must live in our service area Have your own dependable registered & insured vehicle and a valid driver's license
  • you will need to travel to/from clients' homes. Have a smart phone with photo/video/GPS capability and be able to operate one
  • employees use our app for sending updates to clients, navigating to jobs, and tracking time and mileage. Be available for the shifts
  • especially looking for help on weekends, Thanksgiving and Christmas Be comfortable walking dogs in all types of weather
  • rain, snow, and heat. We are a year-round service and dogs still need to be taken out and exercised. We do have restrictions and safety measures for extreme weather. Must ADORE animals…and realize that working with them isn't glamorous (aka we clean up pet messes!) Be able to pass a background check
  • Employment Offers are contingent on successful completion of a background check.
