Mouth Party Caramel is a local candy manufacturer that produces irresistible soft caramels. We were founded with a mission to give back and a portion of our profits are donated to cancer research and support services. Our caramel crew is a work hard while having fun atmosphere and we are looking to grow our team as the company grows!
Position Summary:
The candy machine operator position encompasses taking our caramel from cooked slabs to individually wrapped squares. Tasks include using various pieces of equipment to cut caramels, dip caramels in chocolate, and wrap caramels. We are looking for hard-working, multi-tasking, detail oriented, self-motivated individuals to join our team. No prior experience necessary, equipment training is provided.
Responsibilities:
Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle Control and adjust machine settings (e.g. speed) Feed caramels into semi-automated machines Inspect parts and settings with attention to detail Test operation of machines periodically Fix minor issues that might occur during the shift (e.g. wrapper paper tracking) Check output to spot any machine-related mistakes or flaws Maintain all Health Department & FDA logs each day when completing tasks
Qualifications:
Understanding of production procedures Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. constant use of protective gear) Attention to detail Teamwork and communication skills Physical stamina and strength High school diploma or equivalent Ability to lift 40 lb or more regularly
