Job Description

Meriwether Godsey is seeking a Utility Steward/Receiver at an independent, co-educational college preparatory day school located in Potomac, MD. 6:30 am-3:00 pm Shift, Monday- Friday, and special events as needed $19.50 Per Hour Full-time What the Utility Steward/Receiver will do: Receive deliveries, assist with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies of stock. Store all incoming stock items in assigned locations, ensuring proper storage of perishables and rotation of stock Clean and organize all BOH and FOH storage areas Break down boxes and remove them from the kitchen/dining room area Assist with dishwashing duties, including using, cleaning, setting up, and breaking down the dishwashing machine, washing and stocking dishes, trash removal, floor cleaning, and other duties as assigned Complies with all outlined sanitation and safety requirements Performs other duties as assigned What the Utility Steward/Receiver will need: High school diploma or equivalent experience Ability to measure products and convert units of measure Regular and Predictable attendance Cooperation, Customer Service, Attention to Detail, Communication & Interpersonal Skills, Team Player, Safety, Organization, Problem Solving, Adaptability/Flexibility, Resilience, Dependability, Trustworthy Ability to handle prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and lifting overhead with repetitive motion Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly and push/pull up to 200 lbs Ability to read and interpret instructions May be required to work in excessive heat and cold areas within the kitchen environment Possible exposure to fumes and mildly abrasive chemicals Must be able to pass an FBI background check What the Utility Steward/Receiver will get: Competitive Pay, Uniforms, Meals, Training, Mentorship, and Benefits (Health, Vision, Dental, etc.) Meriwether Godsey offers significant opportunities for growth and career advancement.
