Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Counter/Runner, where you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional food service experiences in a fast-paced, quick-service environment. Your energetic and customer-focused approach will ensure smooth operations, timely food delivery, and a welcoming atmosphere. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in food handling, POS systems, and customer service while contributing to a vibrant culinary setting. Whether assisting with food preparation or supporting front-of-house activities, your enthusiasm will help create memorable moments for our guests. You will be paid $13.00 an hour plus tips, will put you at a range of $15.00-$20.00 an hour. We're looking for people availble mornings and nights, Tuesday through Saturday. Responsibilities Efficiently deliver prepared food orders from the kitchen to customers or designated areas, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met Assist with food preparation tasks, including assembling orders and maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen and service areas. Making espresso, chai lattes, etc.. Operate POS systems such as cake POS to process transactions accurately, handle cash and card payments, and issue receipts with takeout. Support front-of-house activities by bussing tables/bins, refilling supplies, and maintaining sanitation standards in dining and service areas Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales through friendly recommendations Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and minimize wait times Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines to uphold health standards and ensure safe food handling practices Qualifications Previous experience in food service, quick service restaurants, or retail environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude and excellent communication abilities Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail Basic math skills for cash handling, register operations, and retail math calculations Knowledge of food safety procedures, sanitation practices, and proper food handling techniques Experience with food preparation, bussing, or serving in a café or restaurant environment is advantageous Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods; physical stamina is essential Join us as a Counter/Runner and be part of a lively team dedicated to delivering top-notch service!
