Kitchen Assistant

Job description: Excellent opportunity to be part of the Meals on Wheels team in our kitchen! SeniorsPlus has an immediate opening for a full-time position (32 hours/week) in our Lewiston Meals on Wheels (MOW) kitchen facility. This is a Monday-Thursday position working 5:00am to 1:30pm. The individual in this position will perform specified food service tasks assigned to assist other food service personnel in carrying out responsibilities within the production kitchen. She/he will assist with meal portions and equipment setups as well as sealing and packing meals for home and congregate delivery. Additionally, the individual will also assist with kitchen cleanup as required. • Performs other meal program related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent Or one to three months' food service experience and knowledge of safety and sanitation standards. Or equivalent combination of education and experience. Valid Maine Driver's License Must receive favorable results from driver's license, reference, and criminal conviction background checks for any offer of employment.
