As a key player in our kitchen, you will assist with food preparation and maintain high standards of food safety. Those new to food service are also welcome to apply as on-the-job training is provided. Responsibilities Assist with food preparation, including chopping, mixing, and assembling ingredients to support chefs and cooks Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, adhering to strict food safety standards Handle food items safely during storage, handling, and serving processes in compliance with health regulations Follow all kitchen procedures related to food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols to ensure a safe environment May assist with pie making as needed as well as dishwashing and other kitchen related duties. Qualifications Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is essential Knowledge of food handling practices and safety standards preferred but not required (food safety certification is a plus but training is provided) Experience with cooking techniques, food preparation, and basic kitchen operations preferred but not required Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests in a hospitality setting Strong work ethic with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join us as part of an iconic Benzie County establishment.
