Farmer's Market Restaurant Team Member 300 E 1st St, Flint, MI 48502 Part-time, Full-time Part-time, Full-time About Us We are a fast-paced farmers market food stall serving fresh, high-quality food with consistency and great customer service. Our menu is simple but high-volume, and we're looking for a dependable Grill Cook / Prep Cook who can keep up, stay organized, and take pride in their work. Job Summary As a Prep Cook, you will assist with food prep, and other tasks such as cooking on the grill/griddle and keeping the kitchen area clean and organized. This role is hands-on, high-energy, and requires someone who can move quickly while staying calm and consistent under pressure. May require handling register on slow days. Market Open Days (Working the Stall):

Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday Prep/Off Days:

Additional prep shifts may be scheduled on non-market days (ex: Monday/Wednesday/Friday) depending on volume and upcoming events. Prep Work Prep ingredients (cutting, marinating, portioning, stocking) Set up and break down the station efficiently Label and store food properly following food safety rules Cleanliness & Food Safety Maintain a clean workstation throughout the shift ("clean as you go") Follow proper temperature control, sanitation, and glove use Wash/rinse/sanitize utensils and equipment as needed Team & Customer Support Work as part of a tight team in a small space Assist with customer-facing tasks when needed (quick, professional attitude) Stay reliable, punctual, and ready to work Requirements Kitchen, grill, or prep experience Ability to work fast Strong attention to detail and cleanliness Able to stand for long periods Comfortable working in a compact "stall" environment Must be dependable and show up on time Preferred (Nice to Have) ServSafe Certification (or willingness to get it) Knife skills and good organization under pressure What We Offer Competitive hourly pay + opportunity for raises Growth potential as we expand A respectful, team-first work environment Fast shifts that go by quickly (high-energy work) We're hiring ASAP.
