The Deli and Prep position works within the Dining Services Department to ensure that high-quality, properly seasoned, nutritious food is being provided throughout the operation, in a safe manner. Works cooperatively as a valued member of the dining services team, assisting with any aspect of the dining services program necessary.
Schedule :
Monday - Friday, 8:00am-2:15pm with 1/2 unpaid break
Core Responsibilities:
Prepare food such that all food is ready for use within the established timeframe and according to established recipes and menus in a manner in which preserves food freshness, quality and appeal. Utilizes safe food handling techniques at all times. Stores food items according to established standards of practice; utilize proper labeling and dating. Holds prepared food items at appropriate temperatures Maintains production records Maintains established logs Maintains a clean and sanitized work area. Maintains a safe, tidy and well-organized work environment at all times Communicates needs and concerns regarding food production and kitchen operation to supervisor appropriately, and in a timely manner. Supports other kitchen employees in assuring that the essential functions of the kitchen are performed adequately and appropriately. Assists in ordering and inventory procedures. Removes refuse as needed. Puts away/Pulls stock as needed. Other duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum of 1 year food service experience
