Responsibilities Prepare and assemble food items following established recipes and safety standards to ensure quality and consistency. Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems such as Toast POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions. Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, and adhering to food safety protocols. Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and basic math calculations for change. Assist in food handling duties such as stocking supplies, food prep, and ensuring proper food storage practices. Support team members with food service tasks like serving customers, managing queues in quick service or fast-food environments, and supporting kitchen operations when needed. Experience Previous experience in food preparation or food service environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key! Familiarity with POS systems such as Toast is a plus. Experience working in quick service or fast-food restaurants helps you adapt quickly to high-paced settings. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy hours. Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques. Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude that makes guests feel welcome and valued.
