Seasonal, Part Time or Full Time/Non Exempt Pay Range:

$18-$20 per hour

POSITION SUMMARY

Under the direction of the Kitchen Manager, and consistent with the mission of the YMCA, the Kitchen Staff's responsibilities include preparing food, serving meals, and cleaning the kitchen work space at YMCA Camp Pendalouan.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Perform excellent service to all participants, staff, volunteers and guests. Understand, follow and demonstrate the Y mission and values. Responsible for the preparation of food items. Deliver program/participant meals. Conduct food program monitoring visits during the summer. Follow food safety guidelines. Maintain cleanliness standards for all housekeeping tasks. Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the work area. Must be flexible and adaptable. Weekly schedule may vary. Act as a positive role model while implementing YMCA character development and following the four core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility. Perform other related duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager

QUALIFICATIONS

Desire to work in the food industry. ServSafe training preferred - will help achieve certification as needed. Valid driver's license This position requires the ability to communicate effectively with a variety of customers as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines with minimal supervision.
