The Good Food Deli at Harmony Food Co-op is looking for a Deli Lead to join our team. Our Deli is a busy, creative part of the store where we prepare food for our customers every day—from sandwiches, salads and grab-and-go meals to baked goods, specialty items and all the other good things that come out of our kitchen. This isn't just a job stocking a case. It's a chance to help make food that people look forward to eating. What You'll Do As a Deli Lead, you'll help keep our Deli running smoothly and our food looking and tasting its best.

Your days may include:

Preparing and packaging a variety of deli foods according to recipes and established standards Assembling sandwiches, salads, grab-and-go meals and other prepared foods Helping with baking and other kitchen projects Keeping displays and cases stocked, fresh and appealing Providing friendly, knowledgeable customer service Maintaining a clean, organized and food-safe work environment Washing dishes, cleaning equipment and completing other routine kitchen tasks Receiving, storing and rotating ingredients and supplies Working with the Deli team to keep production moving during busy periods Learning new recipes, techniques and skills along the way What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who: Enjoys food and takes pride in making things well Notices the details—whether that's an attractive display, a clean work surface or a sandwich that could use a little more attention Works well with others and communicates clearly Can stay organized and productive when things get busy Is dependable, willing to learn and ready to pitch in wherever needed Cares about providing a genuinely good experience for our customers Can work comfortably on their feet and perform the physical requirements of a kitchen and retail environment Previous deli, kitchen or food-service experience is a plus, but it isn't the only thing that matters.
