Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Leader to join our team. The Shift Leader will play a crucial role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and customer service, and leading the staff to deliver an exceptional dining experience. This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for the food industry, and the ability to manage various tasks efficiently. Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth workflow during shifts. Train, mentor, and support staff in their roles, fostering a positive team environment. Assist in food preparation and production while maintaining quality standards. Handle cash transactions accurately and manage the cash register (POS system). Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in food handling and kitchen practices. Address customer inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance guest satisfaction. Collaborate with management to implement operational improvements and staff schedules. Assist in inventory management and ordering supplies as needed. Skills Proficient in food preparation techniques and kitchen operations. Experience with cash handling procedures and POS systems. Previous experience as an assistant manager or in a leadership role within a restaurant setting is preferred. Knowledge of bartending practices is a plus. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with staff and customers. Ability to train new employees on operational procedures and best practices in food production. A commitment to providing exceptional customer service while leading by example.
