Job Description

Independent Kitchen Cook (Day Shift) — Part-Time Enjoy cooking? Prefer working independently? Make an impact every day by providing meals and support in a meaningful environment. Wings Adolescent Recovery Services is seeking a dependable and organized Independent Kitchen Cook to manage daily kitchen operations during their scheduled shift. This position is responsible for preparing, cooking, serving, and cleaning up meals independently while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized kitchen environment. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys having ownership of their workspace, following routines, and creating a positive mealtime experience for others.
Schedule:
Primarily daytime hours Flexible scheduling options may include: Approximately 6:00 AM-1:00/2:00 PM Approximately 9:00 AM-1:00/2:00 PM Occasional weekends as needed No shifts ending later than approximately 6:30-7:00
PM Responsibilities:
Independently prepare and cook meals according to planned menus Complete meal preparation, serving, and kitchen clean-up tasks Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment Follow food safety guidelines and required documentation practices Monitor inventory and communicate supply needs Assist with ordering and organization of kitchen supplies Adapt meal preparation as needed for resident preferences and dietary needs Maintain a welcoming and positive mealtime environment Communicate effectively with residential staff regarding kitchen needs
Qualifications:
Previous cooking, food service, or kitchen experience preferred Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Comfortable taking ownership of daily responsibilities Strong organization skills and attention to cleanliness Reliable, dependable, and able to follow established routines Ability to work respectfully in a residential behavioral health setting Why Join Wings?
