Bringing the legendary Chicago favorite to Minnesota, Harold's Chicken has been serving its signature food for more than 75 years. We are looking for an experienced, hardworking, and organized Food Expo to join our team and help ensure every order leaving the kitchen is accurate, properly prepared, and delivered efficiently. Position Summary The Food Expo is the key communication link between the kitchen and front-of-house team. This position requires someone who can stay calm and organized in a fast-paced restaurant environment while managing multiple food tickets and coordinating with cooks, servers, bartenders, and management. The ideal candidate has previous restaurant or expo experience, understands the importance of timing and presentation, and can effectively communicate with the entire team during busy service periods. Responsibilities Review and organize food tickets to ensure orders are prepared accurately and efficiently. Communicate clearly and consistently with kitchen cooks regarding ticket timing, modifications, special requests, and order priorities. Coordinate with servers, bartenders, hosts, and other front-of-house staff to ensure food is picked up and delivered promptly. Inspect completed dishes for accuracy, presentation, portioning, and proper modifications before they leave the kitchen. Keep food tickets moving efficiently during high-volume service. Prioritize multiple orders and courses while maintaining accuracy and timing. Communicate any delays, missing items, or kitchen issues to the appropriate staff or manager. Help maintain an organized, clean, and efficient expo station. Monitor the flow of food from the kitchen to the dining room, bar, and rooftop. Work closely with kitchen leadership and management to maintain consistent service standards. Remain calm, focused, and professional during busy and high-pressure shifts. Assist with other restaurant duties as needed. Qualifications Previous Food Expo, Expediter, Server, Line Cook, or high-volume restaurant experience preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both kitchen and front-of-house staff. Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude. Ability to stand for extended periods and move quickly throughout the restaurant. Reliable, punctual, and dependable. Team-oriented with a strong work ethic. Must be comfortable working in a busy restaurant environment with high-volume service.
