Duties Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and cooking ingredients as directed by the head chef or kitchen manager. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and disposing of waste properly. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all food is prepared and stored correctly. Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, fryers, and mixers safely and efficiently. Help with inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting any shortages to the kitchen manager. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during peak hours. Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of food safety practices. Requirements Previous experience in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn is essential. Basic culinary skills including knife handling and meal preparation techniques. Knowledge of food safety standards and practices. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
