Job Overview We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Kitchen Assistant to join our dynamic culinary team. In this vital role, you will support the daily operations of our kitchen by assisting with food preparation, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring food safety standards are upheld. Responsibilities Assist with meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and assembling ingredients following established recipes and standards Support chefs and cooks in food handling, ensuring all ingredients are stored properly and prepared safely Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment to meet health and safety regulations Help with food service duties such as plating dishes, serving meals, and managing order flow during busy periods Follow strict food safety protocols, including proper sanitation practices and temperature controls Ensure all kitchen supplies are stocked and organized for efficient workflow Handle food with care to prevent cross-contamination and ensure quality standards are met Wash dishes and put them up in proper place Qualifications Prior experience in a restaurant or food service environment is highly desirable Strong knife skills and familiarity with basic cooking techniques Knowledge of meal preparation, food handling, and safety procedures within the food industry Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards serving others Basic understanding of culinary practices and food presentation is a plus Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving kitchen needs Food safety certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hire is preferred Join us as a Kitchen Assistant and become an essential part of our culinary team!
