POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the stewarding team by delegating daily tasks, and adhering to event timelines. Assist and monitor deliveries of all food to prospective functions Oversee and assist in delivery, set-up, and breakdown of all equipment to prospective functions Maintain cleanliness in all kitchens, service areas, hallways, trash bins, and parking lot Position is very hands and will interaction often with staff Running and maintenance of the main dish machine This position will also include some light food prep work per the Executive Chef's direction Qualifications Qualifications 2+ years of culinary steward/prep/food & beverage supervision background is necessary Must live within 25 miles of Starkville, Mississippi Must be a team playerSpecialized Qualifications:
Planning and multi-tasking Self-motivated with a high energy level Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, nights, and holidays. Ability to follow directions and work in a demanding, fast-paced environment. Must be a phenomenal team-player and self-motivated with a high energy level. Work Environment This position will spend majority of time in the MSU kitchen and dish pit area where there will be hot water, chemicals, and typical kitchen equipment and utensils. Uniform Requirements Adherence to Company Uniform Requirements outlined in the Associate Handbook, uniform requirements outlined in your orientation guidelines. Non-slip shoes are necessary.Physical Demands:
Prolonged periods of moving through kitchen, coolers, and storage spaces, and traveling to different venues across greater Atlanta Manual dexterity to operate cooking tools such as knives. Physical endurance to work long shifts in a busy environment. Bending, lifting, scooping, and carrying miscellaneous equipment and food items Ability to perform physical tasks; such as but not limited to, lifting approx. 40 lbs.CORE VALUE AND COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS
