JOB SUMMARY
This position will work in varied settings across our organization to support the daily operations of RHS, Inc. This position works in classrooms, as assigned, to assist the teacher in supervising children and implementing daily activities. This position may also assist in the kitchen, during food service staff absences.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Work in classrooms, as assigned, during teacher absences and provide nurturing interactions throughout the daily routine. 2. Assist the teaching staff, as needed, to carry out the daily routine and implement developmentally appropriate activities. 3. Help supervise children throughout the day in the classroom and on the playground. 4. Supervise and participate at mealtimes to provide a positive and supportive climate that promotes learning and independence. 5. Assist in the kitchen with dishes and food prep, when needed, to fill in for food service personnel when absent.
SPECIAL AND/OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Ability to work with cleaning/sanitizing chemicals and equipment Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Sufficient mobility and strength to repeatedly sit, stand, carry infants/toddlers, balance, stoop, walk, bend, reach, kneel, crouch, crawl, and have the full range of body motion Clear vision for close tasks such as working with computers/keyboards/screens, and paper documents Sufficient manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination to perform job duties Have reliable transportation to ensure consistent attendance

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Experience in early care and education and/or experience working with young children is preferred.
