We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail oriented, and competent helper to flex between kitchen prep and packing outgoing orders. In the kitchen, you will assist with food preparation, lidding jars, labeling jars, dishes etc. As for packing, that is picking jams and packing them for shipping out to customers. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable canning experience and learn about a sustainable and healthy food chain. We are a very small, hardworking team, and we have a lot of fun getting to know each other. The tasks are tedious, but there are many different duties so the change helps. Duties Assist with food preparation, including chopping, peeling, juicing, and measuring ingredients Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment including dishwashing Quickly label and clean jars so they are ready for sale Maintain organized product on shelves. Pack orders so they are safe for shipment Create shipping labels for packed orders Maintain organization while fulfilling multiple orders daily. Qualifications GED Drug test may be required. Previous experience in canning is not required, but Basic culinary skills including knife skills is required Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and organization Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting other team members including being on time healthy and able to lift up to 60 lbs, though not often
