Job Description

Performs a variety of technical and manual work in support of client services at the Agricultural Center, including on-site event assistance, facility upkeep, customer service, and day-today support for the operation of the Randolph County Commercial Kitchen. Duties include customer service, facility organization, scheduling support, preparing and maintaining event spaces, monitoring facilities during events, maintaining a clean and safe environment for kitchen users, and providing basic administrative support such as answering phones, returning calls, giving tours, and assisting with simple office paperwork. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Agricultural Center Coordinator.

High school diploma or GED and 1-3 years of experience , or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in food service, a commercial kitchen, customer service, or hospitality is a plus but is not required. Assist with kitchen orientations and facility tours for prospective and approved clients Prepare the kitchen and other applicable spaces for client use Monitor the cleanliness and organization of kitchen and event spaces, restocking basic supplies as needed and providing routine cleaning and sanitation as needed Monitor refrigerator and freezer temperatures, reporting concerns and equipment issues to appropriate staff Assist with maintaining the kitchen and event schedule, calendar, usage records and other documentation as needed Help ensure kitchen users and clients follow established facility policies and operating procedures Sets up and takes down tables, chairs, panels, gates, and other event-related equipment. Reports maintenance issues, safety concerns, or supply shortages promptly. Assists with general upkeep and small facility tasks between events. Greets visitors, answers questions, and provides tours of the facility. Answers incoming phone calls, takes messages, returns calls, and provides accurate facility information. Assists with basic paperwork, filing, and other simple office duties as assigned. General knowledge of event setup and facility maintenance procedures. Skill in safe lifting, moving, and arranging of tables, chairs, and heavy equipment. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients, visitors, and co-workers. Ability to remain calm under pressure and resolve minor issues promptly. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
