Job Overview Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Prep Associate, where your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a seamless and enjoyable dining experience. In this vital role, you will support the kitchen by preparing ingredients, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with food production to ensure that every meal meets our high standards of quality and safety. Your energy and dedication will contribute to a vibrant kitchen environment focused on efficiency, teamwork, and exceptional service. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients according to recipes and menu specifications, including slicing, chopping, and portioning food items using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Assist in food preparation tasks such as cooking, assembling dishes, and portioning meals to ensure timely service Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, mixers, slicers, and other culinary tools Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen surfaces in compliance with food safety standards Follow food handling procedures diligently to uphold food safety management protocols Support meal preparation for various settings such as restaurants or catering events while adhering to recipe guidelines Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth workflow during busy periods Experience Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable Experience in food service or restaurant environments demonstrating familiarity with food industry standards Knowledge of menu planning and food preparation techniques including safety standards in production Skilled in operating kitchen equipment safely and efficiently with a focus on food safety management Proven ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in meal presentation Experience with catering or large-scale meal preparation is a plus Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with kitchen team members Join us in creating delicious meals while ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency every step of the way!
Pay:
$21.00 - $28.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 50.0 per week
