The Valle Crucis Conference Center , a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Western NC, is searching for kitchen help. The Dining Hall serves approximately 18,000 meals per year in an idyllic setting overlooking a lovely farming valley.

Duties include:

all food service operations, including food safety and hygiene, preparation, cooking, cleaning, organization, and other duties as assigned. Pay rate is hourly, with incremental raises at reasonable intervals. Hours are up to 20 per week, with most hours on weekends - including Sundays - until summer (high season), when hours are all through the week. Shifts are typically 4-8 hours. This is an ideal position for students or others who need flexible hours, and who are eager to learn Conference Center, catering, and other types of production cooking in a more laid-back atmosphere. This is kitchen work - not glamorous, but with potential for fun, in a beautiful environment, working with interesting people at a place that has a Story.
