This position is best suited for someone who enjoys working hands-on with food, has kitchen experience, and understands Mediterranean cuisine. This person will help ensure our food looks and tastes the way it should every day. They will work closely with management and kitchen teams on recipe consistency, seasonal specials, food presentation, and catering orders. This position requires working at both of our locations: 1347 Kildaire Farm Rd, Cary, NC 27511 9650 Strickland Rd, Raleigh, NC 27615 The 40-hour work week will be divided between both locations based on business needs.
Expected earnings:
Approximately $23/hour ($20/hour base pay + average $3/hour in tips).
Responsibilities:
Help maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation across both locations. Ensure recipes are being followed and presented according to company standards. Provide training to store teams on kitchen standards, recipes, and front-of-house food presentation. Work closely with Kitchen Managers and Team Performance Advocate (TPA) to help ensure teams are meeting training expectations and culinary standards. Support and strengthen the kitchen management team by sharing knowledge, experience, and best practices to help them grow and succeed in their roles. Follow up on employee training progress and ensure new hires complete all required training. Help develop and introduce seasonal specials. Ensure catering orders are properly plated, complete, and presented before leaving the store. Meet with the executive team monthly to review progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement. Travel between Raleigh and Cary as needed.
Qualifications:
Open availability required. Kitchen experience required. Management experience required. Experience with Mediterranean or Middle Eastern cuisine required Formal culinary training is preferred but not required. Strong attention to detail and pride in food presentation. Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with others. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities. Spanish and/or Arabic language skills are a plus. We're looking for someone who cares about food, notices the small details, and takes pride in making sure every dish and catering order reflects the quality and standards of Sassool.
