Job Summary This job is done early in the evening compared to other local restaurants with the kitchen only in operation from 4-8:30 Tuesday-Saturday so always have Sunday and Monday as days off! The lodge serves typical bar food such as burgers, wings, fries, apps, sandwiches, etc. and offering a special on certain nights. 20-25 hours per week. We are seeking a skilled assistant to help the cook in the kitchen for the Oak Island Elks Lodge. The ideal candidate will be responsible helping with food prep, food plating/presentation, clean up and dishes. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients for cooking, including washing, peeling, and chopping Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen Wash/Dry Dishes and put in proper storage areas Experience Previous experience in a similar role within the food service or kitchen environment Understanding of health and safety rules in the kitchen Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Excellent job for someone who wants to work part time or have an extra job in the evening. Pay $16-$20 per hour dependent upon experience
