Job Description

Production Flow Operator Back-of-House Leadership Support The Hop Ice Cream is growing, and we're looking for a Production Flow Operator to help keep The Creamery running smoothly as we expand. Flow is the connective tissue of our production team. Rather than staying in one department, this person moves throughout the Creamery, stepping in and up wherever they are needed to keep production moving. In one day you might be packaging ice cream, staging ingredients for an Ice Cream Maker, organizing the freezer, portioning baked goods, receiving cream, and getting tomorrow's production ready. This is a hands-on, physically demanding position. You'll be on your feet, moving throughout the production space, lifting and carrying product and supplies (up to 50lbs regularly), working in cold environments, cleaning, organizing, and doing repetitive tasks. You should genuinely enjoy physical work and the satisfaction of making a space run better. We're looking for someone who notices what needs to be done without being asked, enjoys organization and repetitive work, can shift priorities throughout the day, and takes pride in helping the people around them succeed. The best Flow Operator will become someone our production team can rely on to anticipate needs, prevent bottlenecks, and jump in wherever the greatest need exists. What You'll Do Own the packaging of our ice cream, novelties, event products, and baked goods. Support Ice Cream Makers, Bakers, Cake Decorators, and Distribution by taking care of the tasks that happen before and after their primary work. Manage and organize cream, packaging, finished product, and production inventory. Keep workstations, storage areas, and equipment clean, organized, and ready for production. Work across multiple areas of The Creamery throughout the day, constantly prioritizing where your time will have the greatest impact. Communicate clearly with the production team and identify needs or potential problems before they become bottlenecks. This Role Is a
Great Fit If You:
Love being busy and love being useful. Are physically strong and comfortable with demanding production work. Enjoy repetitive tasks when they have a purpose. Notice small details and naturally keep things organized. Can change gears quickly when priorities change. Are comfortable working independently without constant direction. Find satisfaction in helping a team work better together. Believe that great work comes from clear communication, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. At The Hop, our goal is to create "Happiness through ice cream" and a "delicious, memorable, and fun experience" for everyone involved. We believe the way we work behind the scenes is just as important as the experience our customers have on the other side of the counter. We hope you'll join us!
