In this vital role, you will be responsible for preparing ingredients, assisting with food production, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. Your enthusiasm for food service and commitment to safety standards will ensure smooth meal preparation and high-quality service for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop culinary skills, work in a fast-paced setting, and contribute to creating delicious, well-presented meals. Responsibilities Prepare ingredients, including slicing, dicing, and portioning foods using proper knife skills and slicing techniques Assist with food preparation tasks such as, assembling dishes, and plating meals in accordance with menu specifications Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, fryers, and food processors Maintain cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and equipment by following strict cleaning protocols and safety standards in production Support the culinary team in meal assembly and catering events to ensure timely service delivery Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling procedures and food safety management practices Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks, ensure recipe adherence, and maintain a smooth workflow Qualifications Previous experience in dietary departments or as a dietary aide is preferred but not required; willingness to learn is essential Strong background in food industry roles such as restaurant or catering experience demonstrating food preparation skills Knowledge of safety standards in production environments and proper food handling techniques Proficiency in operating kitchen equipment safely and effectively Excellent communication skills for collaborating with kitchen staff and supporting team efforts Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization Basic understanding of culinary techniques including knife skills, slicing methods, and meal preparation processes Join us if you're passionate about food service excellence!
