A Kitchen Staff assists with food preparation as directed by cooks, food supervisors or chefs. Cleans kitchen work areas and dishes. Prepares ingredients for dishes to be cooked, prepares beverages, and stocks salad bars or buffet tables.

Nutrition Assistant � Level 2 Position Summary Under the direction of the Child Nutrition Center Manager, the Nutrition Assistant Level 2 plays a vital role in providing high-quality, appealing, and safe meals to district students and staff. This role serves as the lead on catering operations, works directly in the Child Nutrition Center (CNC), and acts as a float/substitute across various locations within the district's Nutrition Department to ensure smooth daily operations.

Schedule:
Follows the school year calendar; regular, dependable, in-person attendance is required. Plus 4-5 training days per school year.
Key Responsibilities Food Preparation & Service:
Assist with general kitchen duties, including prepping, heating, portioning, and serving nutritious meals to students and staff in a fast-paced environment.
Catering Leadership:
Serve as the lead on catering events, ensuring setup, food presentation, service, and clean-up meet department standards.
Department Subbing & Support:
Sub across various nutrition sites throughout the district as needed, adapting quickly to different kitchen environments.
Clean-Up & Maintenance:
Help maintain food service facilities, kitchens, and dining areas in safe, sanitary conditions following district, health, and HACCP standards.
Customer Service & Teamwork:
Provide exceptional customer service to students, staff, and patrons while fostering a collaborative, supportive team environment.
